As part of its ongoing commitment to expanding career opportunities and strengthening capacity building for the next generation of legal practitioners, the Nigerian Bar Association – Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF), on 4th July 2025, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the President and Chairman of Council of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN), Mr. Chimezie V. C. Ihekweazu, SAN, FCIArb, FBR, ACTI, at his office in Lagos.
The visit was strategic and forward-looking, aimed at exploring avenues for collaboration between NBA-YLF and BRIPAN in the area of professional training and specialization. Discussions centered on developing structured programs that would equip young lawyers with practical skills in business recovery, insolvency practice, and related commercial advisory services, while ensuring that such opportunities remain accessible through discounted and affordable training frameworks.
This engagement reflects the NBA-YLF’s broader vision of positioning young lawyers for relevance in emerging and specialized areas of legal practice. By fostering partnerships with leading professional bodies like BRIPAN, the Forum continues to create pathways for skill acquisition, professional diversification, and long-term career growth for its members.
